MANILA ARTIST JOINS BULAWAN FESTIVAL 2015

Around 12,000 Comvalenyos gather at the Provincial Capitol Grounds for the 17th Founding Anniversary and 8th Bulawan Festival culminating concert and fireworks display. Crowd goes wild as singer-actress Vina Morales and actor Paolo Avelino appear on stage to celebrate with the Comvalenyos. Stand-up comedians from Davao City including Vice Ganda's Kalokalike also bring laughter during the event as front-act performers.

Kim Patrick Saren, a high school student from Compostela Valley was declared the overall winner of the first Doodle 4 Google (D4G) competition in the Philippines.

BATINAG WATERFALLS

Batinag Waterfalls located in Brgy. Tagnokon, Nabunturan requires 1-2 hours of trekking hopping to 15 cascading streams before reaching the area. The waterfalls is 40 feet high and came from 12 coldspring sources. Brgy Tagnokon is 13 kms. from Poblacion Nabunturan. The word Batinag is a Mansaka term which refers to the sound of the water, elders hear whenever there is a water rush. This will be developed by the Barangay as an eco-tourism destination.
