As posted in the City Government of Davao facebook page, March 16, 2015, Monday, was declared as a Special Non-Working Holiday in Davao City in celebration of Araw ng Davao. The declaration was made in accordance to Republic Act (RA) 7685 which specify that Davao City celebrates its founding anniversary.
On the other hand, Vice Mayor Pulong Duterte advised that March 17, 2015, Tuesday, was also a Special Non-working Holiday. The proclamation will be released by Monday, March 16, 2015.
Employees who will work on this day will enjoy additional 30% premium over their rates.
