A recent Pulse Asia survey showed that Mayor Rodrigo Duterte ranked third.
The survey conducted last March 1 to 7, 2015 revealed Mayor Duterte as the one of the Presidential aspirants eventhough his name was not included in the survey. This strongly shows that many people believed in his political will. People, especially in Mindanao, agree to his unconventional ways of running his city which made him popular even overseas.
For the past years of his leadership, Davao City remained peaceful and orderly. Despite some negative reactions from other sectors, still many leaders wanted Mayor Duterte to be the head of state.
The mayor neither said “yes” nor “no” to the people’s aspiration for him to be the next president. But because of his humbleness, he gained more popularity that made him a strong candidate.
People who believed in his power will do everything possible to make him a president. He is not a perfect leader because he is a good and loyal servant who puts the common people’s welfare always at the top of the list.
